What is gachapon?
Gachapon (also called gashapon) are Japanese capsule toys traditionally dispensed from vending machines. Each capsule contains one surprise collectible from a specific series, which may include figures, keychains, plush mascots, miniature replicas, and other items.
What is a blind box?
Blind boxes are sealed collectible boxes containing one mystery item from a specific series. Unlike gachapon, blind-box collectibles are packaged in individual boxes instead of capsules and are opened by the customer to reveal the design inside.
Both gachapon and blind boxes make collecting more exciting by keeping the exact item you receive a surprise!
Are your products authentic Japanese collectibles?
Yes! Gacha Twist sells only authentic products sourced from reputable Japanese manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, and retailers.
Whenever available, each product page identifies the manufacturer or brand so you can see who produced the item.
Gacha Twist is an independent retailer and is not affiliated with or officially endorsed by the character brands or franchises featured in these products. We never sell replicas, imitations, or counterfeit products.
Who are these products intended for?
Our products are curated for collectors ages 15 and up. All items sold by Gacha Twist are collectibles and are not intended for young children.
Many of our collections feature anime, manga, Japanese art, original characters, miniatures, and other pop-culture properties enjoyed by teen and adult collectors.
How does ordering work?
For gachapon, you'll receive one random capsule from the series you select. We twist a real gachapon machine for your order, recreating the surprise of using a gachapon machine in Japan.
For blind boxes, you'll receive one factory-sealed box containing a random item from the selected series. The box remains sealed so you can reveal the surprise yourself.
The exact design you receive cannot be guaranteed unless the product listing specifically states otherwise.
What if I receive a duplicate?
Duplicates are possible with both gachapon and blind boxes and are part of the mystery collectible experience.
For gachapon orders, we do our best to avoid sending duplicates within the same order when possible. However, because every pull is random, duplicates can still occur.
Blind boxes remain factory sealed, so we cannot determine which item is inside before shipping. Ordering multiple blind boxes from the same series may therefore result in duplicates.
Will you restock sold-out items?
Restocks are not guaranteed. Many Japanese collectible series are produced for a limited time, and availability can disappear quickly once a production run or retailer inventory sells out.
When additional inventory becomes available, we may restock popular gachapon and blind-box series. If you see something you love, we recommend purchasing it while it's available.
Why are prices different from prices in Japan?
Gachapon and blind boxes are originally sold at domestic Japanese prices. To make these collectibles available in the United States, we import products in small batches and incur international shipping, sourcing, handling, and other import-related costs.
Gacha Twist gives collectors a convenient way to purchase authentic Japanese collectibles with secure checkout, tracked shipping, customer support, and fast U.S. fulfillment—without navigating international retailers, proxy buyers, or package-forwarding services.
Where do orders ship from?
All Gacha Twist orders are packed and shipped from Texas. Products are already in the United States and ready to ship unless a listing is specifically identified as a preorder.
This means U.S. customers won't have to wait for international fulfillment or pay additional customs charges upon delivery.
How long does shipping take?
Orders are normally processed within 1–3 business days.
United States
- USPS Ground Advantage: $5.90 on orders under $40
- Free USPS Ground Advantage on orders of $40 or more
- Estimated delivery time: 5–8 business days
- Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii may require additional transit time
International
Shipping rates and estimated delivery times are calculated at checkout based on the destination and package weight. International orders are shipped through USPS, with DHL Express also available for orders to Japan.
You'll receive tracking information by email once your order ships. Shipping and delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed.
Will I be charged customs or import fees?
International orders may be subject to import duties, tariffs, taxes, or other fees upon delivery. These charges are determined by the destination country's customs authority and are the customer's responsibility. They are not included in the order total or shipping charge shown at checkout.
Gacha Twist is not responsible for customs fees, import duties, or taxes charged upon delivery. If you're unsure about your country's import policies, we recommend checking with your local customs authority before ordering.
U.S. orders are not subject to additional import duties or customs fees upon delivery.
Can I return or exchange gachapon or blind boxes?
Because gachapon and blind boxes are mystery collectibles, we cannot accept returns or exchanges based on the character, color, or design received. The surprise is part of the experience!
If your order arrives damaged, incorrect, or missing an item, contact us within 7 days of delivery and include photos of the issue. We'll work with you to provide an appropriate replacement or refund.
Unopened items in their original packaging may be eligible for return for store credit with prior approval. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility unless Gacha Twist made an error with the order.
